DANCECORP – Newsletter 10/09/2018
10 September 2018
Letter from the Chairman
Greetings Students, Parents, and Guardians.
Since its conception in 2016, DANCECORP has pushed the limits to become what it is today. This month we not only celebrate the coming of Spring and its symbol of renewal but the transformation our studio has undergone in the last month. And if you are wondering why this letter is well overdue, its because I have been holding it back to include in this months newsletter some amazing announcements.
Firstly, I would like to extend my pride in announcing Shannon Michelle Dunbar and Beverly-Ann du Toit as official Shareholders and Directors of DANCECORP (August 2018). It is without a doubt in my mind that these two ladies have contributed greatly to the success of DANCECORP and I can honestly say I couldn’t have asked for a team of more capable individuals who have always aligned themselves with the visions and goals of DANCECORP and made it what it is today. Shannon and Bev, I look forward to a very fruitful and bright future with you on board as Directors. I can sigh a sense of great relief in knowing what my team will bring and what successes are to come of this beautiful arrangement.
- Kyle John Behrens is now officially appointed as Chairman and Principle of DANCECORP (Pty) Ltd
- Shannon Michelle Dunbar is now officially appointed Director and Vice Principle of DANCECORP (Pty) Ltd
- Beverly-Ann du Toit is now officially appointed as Financial Director of DANCECORP (Pty) Ltd
With that comes even more exciting news, DANCECORP has received its Certification of Registration and the DANCECORP symbol and wordmark have now registered in the Trade Marks Office with effect from 14 February 2017. We still awaiting certification of our slogan LIVE DANCE REPEAT which I am sure we will hear of soon. A very big thank you to Dorothy Imrie – Hahn & Hahn Intellectual Property Practitioners, for assisting with our registration.
With all this excitement also comes the overwhelming achievements of our competitive students. This past month students have participated in numerous SADTA, Private Promoter competitions and above that have found the time to participate in Allegretto Eisteddfod and RACA. While its is indeed an overwhelming task in itself to make mention of all the successes, I will indicate that students have been performing with outstanding results in all. In the very near future I do see the need to host a results page of which each competitive student will receive their own page with a history of their achievements and results from any given competition or event. Parents i will need your help with this so I can start implementing this.
It goes without say that success surrounds us and we are truly blessed to have the family we have. I would take this opportunity to wish everyone a Beautiful Spring, challenge yourselves to amplify your strengths and work on any weaknesses, Its a beautiful time to start a new. Lets continue on this upward trend, a trend that brings with it great excitement and excellence in all we do.
In closing I leave you with this most appropriate quote:
“I believe in process. I believe in four seasons. I believe that winter’s tough, but spring’s coming. I believe that there’s a growing season. And I think that you realize that in life, you grow. You get better.”
